Japan and the Japanese language have played a huge role in my life from childhood. I started learning Japanese when I was 9. Several years later, at age 14, I went to Japan for the first time and fell in love with the country. When I was 16, I ventured abroad once more for a year-and-a-half stint in Kagoshima, the second-most southern prefecture of Japan. Then, when I returned to college in 2015 to complete my degree, I knew I wanted to study abroad again. So, I moved to Tokyo for a year. I have been to Japan several other times, usually for at least a month. I have been to 22 of 47 prefectures thus far.
I love teaching/tutoring Japanese! It is a great joy in my life. If you are looking for a tutor, I promise I will try to make it as fun and effective for you as possible! I am always researching new teaching techniques, foreign language learning methods, and fun Japanese language activities. I’ve traveled all around Japan and spent a few of my formative years there, thus the culture and language have been so ingrained in me. As a tutor, I can bring you a rich cultural knowledge filled with my own personal experiences.
I look forward to meeting with you and getting to know you through our Japanese lessons!
